Techung is a Tibetan folk and freedom singer. He creates a captivating international sound, and performs regularly internationally, alongside Philip Glass, Iggy Pop, Patty Smith and others. He has performed in all the Tibetan Freedom Concert series, alongside the Beastie Boys, U2 and REM. In recent years, he has had the honor of opening for the Dalai Lama’s public talks on numerous occasions. Techung is regarded as one of the key holders of Tibetan music.
